Clinical Placement Opportunity – SEED Eating Disorder Support Service

An exciting opportunity is available to volunteer in a placement setting with SEED providing therapy to existing SEED clients (Adults) that are in recovery and ready to begin the next stage of their journey.

It is expected that the placement will commence in the Summer period of 2022 and depending on interest there may be several placements available.

To undertake this placement, students must be in receipt of their ‘Certificate of Competency to Practice in a Placement Setting’ and be a current member of ECPT. A standard requirement of SEED for all employees/volunteers is that an individual who has experienced an eating disorder is at least 2 years post recovery.

No further experience is required, however, prior to beginning client work the trainee will be expected to undertake training with SEED to gain an understanding of eating disorders and the client group.

The placement will be located at The Wilson Centre in Hull City Centre, days and times are flexible and it is expected that students are able to work autonomously and manage their case load under supervision with SEED.
