Fees and costs
Our psychotherapy and counselling courses are paid per year on an annual basis.
For Foundation Year students, this is in one payment before the first training weekend/2-days of the year. For advanced students, a payment plan can be available subject to your circumstances. Any outstanding fees must be paid in full before the end of the academic year.
The current fee is available at: Course fees
As well as the fees payable to us, you also need to budget for associated costs including personal therapy and supervision, ongoing CPD, and conferences.
Yes we do – our latest prospectus can be viewed at: https://ellesmerecentre.co.uk/prospectus/
Here you can also watch videos of talks with current and past students and our foundation tutor Anita Holland.
If you have any further questions about our UKCP accredited psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling courses, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us
ECPT is an independent, private training provider specialising in training psychotherapists and counsellors. The academic level of our counselling courses is Level 6 (the same as a bachelors degree), and psychotherapy is Level 7 (the same as a postgraduate degree), however, the courses are part-time and a diploma from us is not a full degree.
A Level 6 or Level 7 ECPT Diploma is sufficient to work in many NHS settings or go into private practice, and makes you eligible for UKCP registration.
We are an alternative to university for those that want to study part-time, are able to self-fund, and want to gain the practical experience that UKCP and other accrediting bodies and employers are looking for alongside the academic work.
We do not have access to funding through Student Finance
Equality, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of ECPT.
It is important that the psychotherapy and counselling community are representative of the wider community and we encourage applications to enter training from anyone who would like to pursue a career in counselling and psychotherapy regardless of gender, age, race, sexuality, nationality, or disability.
You can see our full Equalities, Diversity & Inclusion policy at – ECPT ED&I Policy
